I have arrived!

Hello everyone! I have finally gotten to PA. I arrived on Friday night around 9:00 PA time and 8:00 AL time. It was a long trip but I had a friend, Jennifer, to keep me company as we drove up following my parents with the van loaded down with all of my things. We had good weather so thank God for that!
I am still unpacking and hopefully will get settled in soon. Pray for a fast adjustment and that I wouldn't have a lot of homesickness.
I checked out a church today that seems to be okay. I will go again next week to the later service to see if they have some people my age. There weren't any there at the early service this morning. It's more contemporary and seems to be missions oriented so that's a good sign for me.
Mom and Dad and Jennifer will be leaving on Wed. so that's when the praying really needs to start for me.
Also my car is still in AL in the shop being worked on. Apparently there is a difficult electrical problem that is confusing everyone. My lovely kind mother has loaned me her car for the time being. My oldest brother and his family are coming up in about 2 weeks so they will bring my car up and drive my mother's back down. Hopefully my car will be fixed by then.
Well, I hope everyone has a happy new year!
I'm not sure when I will be able to post next. As of now I do not have Internet at my house. I will have to look into that. Hopefully I can find something affordable and that isn't as slow as a sloth.
Hope to hear from you guys soon. I still have my email and cell phone number. Call me! But wait until Wed. I left my cell phone at my new house and I am visiting other relatives right now in another part of PA.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all have a wonderful time this holiday season.
P.S. the nose lights up but it's hard to catch it on camera...so imagine a blinking nose and the sound of jingle bells and it will seem like you're right there next to me. hahaha

boxes boxes everywhere

Okay so the packing has begun. Last night my sister-in-law Sandra came to help me pack a bunch of my stuff. We were able to accomplish a lot, however, there is still more to go. I have to finish painting two...no actually three, bookshelves, wash some clothes and then pack them, and then pack up my last minute things. there's a lot more than I thought.

yesterday was my last day at work. it was good. My boss got me a cheesecake from the Cheesecake factory. WOW! It was good!

We swapped Christmas presents (my boss, Kathy the secretary, and myself). It was fun. I was given some very yummy fudge and previously given a hand mixer which will come in handy quit nicely when trying to bake. I was also given some much needed corning wear.

I will miss the people at work. They are wonderful and I am so happy that I got to know them. They will be missed.

I hope you all have a wonderful time as you make your last minute gift purchases and travel to family and friends.

Hey everybody! It's been a while sorry.
I've been busy having parties and hanging out with friends before I make the big move.
Last night I was taken out to Bahama Breeze. I had never been there before. It was great! If you've never eaten there you need to go. Try the Chicken Santiago. Yummy!
I had a party for anybody that knows me to come and hang out on one night last week and that was fun. I was given some really cool stuff for when I move. I was very excited about it. Thanks to all that gave me something.
Not too much more has been going on.
I am busy training the new guy, Wally for those that know him, to take my place when I quit my job. It's been going well.
Now I must go back to work.
I will be posting some pictures soon.

Where am I going?

I realize that not everyone knew I was moving and not everyone knows where or why. Sorry.

I am going to be moving at the end of this month to go to a freezing cold place in PA. Why am I going there? Because I'm crazy! No just kidding...I am going because that is where God has told me to go. I am going to finish my BA in Spanish and complete all my requirements for Med School. I have already been accepted into a local college, Messiah, this is where I will complete everything before med school.
I will also become an instate resident because I am hoping to get in to Penn State Hershey Medical School. I am stepping out in faith on this one. I feel peace about moving and about getting into med school up there. Sure some might think I'm crazy because I've not been officially accepted but that's where trust comes in. I'm trusting that God is not steering me in the wrong direction and He will take care of the finite details and save me a place in Med School...the one I feel he is taking me to.
I will miss my sunny warm home here in Alabama and will miss all of you guys but hey road trips are fun, right? You guys are always welcome to come visit and I will be coming back down here from time to time too. I have to go to the beach somewhere that's warm. hahaha

High tech

I'm finally in the blog circle. I have been putting off becoming a website junkie but alas I must succumb to the call. Why am I giving in? well, I would say it's for love. Love of what? My friends and family. I will be moving soon and so it has been requested that I start up a website to keep all my beloved friends and family updated on my adventures. I am hoping that this cite will provide them with that special link to keep us connected.

I hope you all enjoy!!!
P.S. the picture has absolutely nothing to do with this blog other than it should make you snicker/giggle/laugh/chuckle/whatever.
I had to hold the head of my cookie because it fell off and landed on the ground. Did I eat it? Of course!
