my good news
Hey everyone. Sorry it's taken so long to update. I have been super busy. Since coming back from Spring Break my classes have become more demanding and are continuing to do so with this semester about to be wrapping up.
So what else is new? Well God has been taking me on a ride that's for sure. I have been blessed with a wonderful boyfriend named Greg...pictures to come. I have been taken down a new path as far as school goes. Where is that leading? To Reading, PA. I will finish up my semester here at Messiah and then apply to the Reading School of nursing to get my degree in that field. I will then further my education by going on to become a Nurse practitioner. I believe this is something God is calling me to do. I will still be in the medical field and still be able to fulfill my calling to medical missions. It just won't take as long to get there. I will be able to get where I want to be faster this way without as much tension. After looking at some of the other cons and pros of being a doctor I've realized that I don't want that lifestyle. There are so many things that play into that that I don't think will work with who God has created me to be. One of which is that I want a family and want to be a part of that family...being a doctor restricts you on that, especially being the kind I wanted to be, a pediatrician...there are other reasons but I don't feel like going into that right now. So I will pursue a life in the medical field just in a different way. I truly feel God's blessing on this. So be in prayer as I locate a job until I can get into the nursing program (it doesn't start right away) and figure out if it is Reading's program that I am to be in or not. I will be checking into a few other programs as well just to see what they have to offer.
Yes so that's some hefty news but it's good. I have peace about it. I'm very excited about it.
I will post some pictures of my wonderful boyfriend when I get the chance...maybe tonight.
