I'm still alive
It's been almost a year since I've written on here. Life has been hectic for sure.
I'm almost done with nursing school. I have one more semester to go. I will graduate this December. For now I'm on summer break which is GREAT! I'm enjoying the laid back easy going time it is. No deadlines. No drama. No harsh instructors. Whew Praise the Lord. Greg and I have been in need of some "married" life. We've forgotten what it's like to be married outside of school and deadlines. It's nice.
We went to Florida and Alabama for a bit right after the semester ended. We will be going to Philly in about a week...just for a day. I went to the beach with Carolyn, a friend that's in nursing school with me. I'm also planing to go to the beach a few more times this summer. I need to be in the sun. The winters up here are way too long and dreary for me emotionally. It gets old and gloomy. So I"m going to soak up the sun and enjoy all the heat that comes my way. Bring it on!
We are doing a few home projects this summer as well. We have already painted the hallway and are working on the guest room now.
Recently...about 2 weeks ago... our ceiling in the living room bottomed out. Greg was in the living room and heard a drip. He looked up and saw the ceiling sagging right below where the tub/shower is. He came upstairs and told me about it. We walked down and there it was...filling with water. It was a Sunday morning right before church. So we stuck a bucket under it and left. When we came back it was really drooping then. Ugg. We pocked it and whoosh it slopped down into the bucket. Early Monday morning we called the insurance company and then the plumbers. So the plumbers stopped the leak but we still have a hole in the ceiling. The hole should be getting fixed soon...hopefully within the week.
Yesterday we went out to M'burg to visit some family. We had a great time. Hopefully we can get back out there before school starts back.
That's the excitement for now.
